What to do when you phone fell into the water.

Most phone that fall into a bucket of water, swimming pools, or any thing that has water inside, they completely die. Only 25% of them are brought back to life. Water alone cannot damage your phone, but in assistance with the battery it can. Since we all know that water is a very good conduct, it bridges the power to wrong place and brings in high voltages of power to the places where low voltages are needed. This is why some of the components will blow up and some lines will be burnt making the phone beyond repair.

In most cases when our phones fall into the water we also contribute I damaging the phone. We will put the phone into the charger thinking that the power of the charger will dry the water inside. Some people will just use a hair dryer to dry the out side of the phone and attempt to switch it on and use it. Some people came with the idea of putting you phone into the rice, but the question is, how do you put it in there? Do you put it with the battery inside? How long do you leave it in there? May be a week, may be 10 years? Most people don't know.

Follow the instructions that I'm gonna give to you and you will never go wrong. Once your phone falls into the water, it means the phone is half dead. It is an emergency case so be quick. First thing to do is not running to the shop to buy rice. First of all, remove the battery from the phone. If its a build in battery, then you will have to use a screwdriver to open the phone and disconnect the batter cable from the motherboard of the phone.

Now that you have removed the battery you can relax. You will need the methylated spirit and a brush. Remove the whole board of the phone from the phone. Now pour that methylated spirit on the motherboard and use the small brush to clean the board. You can put the other parts of the phone into the rice so the water will be drains out of the lcd, rings and any other components. Leave it in there for 12 hours. If you don't have the methylated spirit, you can also put the motherboard into the rice separate from the housing.

After 12 hours, put together the phone put the battery and charge it.
