_ Open the google play app
_Tap the menu button
_Select settings
_Change the update settings to "do not updates"

2. Close data connection when ever you play games that do not require data connection.

3. For all apps that do not require data connection to operate, restrict then background connection.

_Scroll down and you will see a list of apps that consume data.
